Hollywood star
America Ferrera (Ugly Betty, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) led a pro-Hillary
Clinton rally at Jon's Bar and Grill today in downtown Austin. The rally was designed to
help educate young voters on Hillary's past accomplishments, her experience, and her ideas
and solutions for turning our country around.
More than 100 people gathered in the small bar, cheering loudly for Hillary, as America
described the many ways that Hillary had worked hard and continues to work hard to
support, students, women, seniors, children, minorities, working class and middle class
families.
America said she did not want a president who is her buddy, "I want someone who is
brilliant, much smarter than me, who has experience in getting things done, who can get
the job done."
"I want someone who has solutions," she said.
The crowd loved America's sincere and passionate portrayal of Hillary as the best
candidate.
"if we took Hillary experience, her brilliance, her accomplishments, and those of her
rival," America explained, "and put them on two white men - there would be no
doubt as to who is the best and better candidate."
America stayed for more than an hour after her speech cheerfully signing Hillary signs and
taking photos with audience members.
She will continue to travel in support of Hillary.
She reminded students that Hillary speaks for them!
